Bio

Melanie Moeller, former Sky, BBC, and HP, is a globally recognised AI thought leader with over a decade of experience turning AI aspirations into scalable solutions and measurable business value. At Sky, she established the Technology Innovation function within Sky’s Innovation Lab, pioneering AI-driven prototypes for real-time emotion detection and avatars signing TV content into British Sign Language (BSL) and Makaton. She also contributed to Sky Glass' machine learning models and led an AI broadband fault-finding project that reduced customer churn. Additionally, she led the internationalisation of Sky’s NowTV streaming service, aligning product strategy with diverse market demands.

At the BBC, Melanie delivered the EU Referendum results service in 2016, engaging 35.5 million daily users, and played a pivotal role in launching the first fully responsive BBC iPlayer, transforming user experience and engagement.

Now an AI consultant, Coach and Chief AI Officer at GenFutures Lab, Melanie helps organisations adopt and scale AI, delivering ROI and ensuring compliance. She enabled clients like BPP University to cut operational time by 75% and save £10k monthly within just a few months of engagement.
